Introducing qapasity Arctic Series for Nordic climates

qapasity launches the next generation battery with the Arctic Series. The batteries are built using the latest semi-solid-state technology. Throughout the development process, our focus has been on creating a battery of the highest quality while taking a leap into future innovations. The Arctic Series is designed to withstand the tough and challenging Nordic climate. The system has a groundbreaking design, combining a battery chemistry that is resistant to both heat and cold, along with integrated heating elements. This ensures optimal operating temperatures.

The semi-solid-state technology encapsulates the flammable liquid electrolyte in a porous material. This reduces the amount of liquid needed to transport lithium ions within the battery and increases efficiency per unit of weight. Extensive research has been conducted on this technology for many years, with intensified efforts over the past decade. Now, the battery cells are finally ready for production and launch.

qapasity Arctic Series marks qapasity’s first product launch and is designed for installations in residential homes and small commercial properties. The battery system is modular, allowing for easy assembly through quick connectors on the top and bottom sections, which are then connected to the inverter via plug-and-play solutions. It can be configured with 2 to 7 modules, making it scalable from 11kWh to 38kWh. The battery supports high charge and discharge rates (1C), enabling suitability for various applications and control options.

With the qapasity Arctic Series, you can take control of your high electricity bills by storing solar energy, reducing peak loads, and charging at lower electricity rates from the grid. Additionally, by connecting to an aggregator, you can support the Swedish power grid and get paid for your contribution.
